Easy Easter Brunch Menu That Includes Waffles

10 Sweet and Savory Waffle Recipes for Easter Brunch

Nothing says "cozy Easter brunch" like a warm stack of homemade waffles loaded with all your favorite toppings. Waffles are quick, inexpensive, and made with pantry staple ingredients you likely already have on hand. I have a new Belgian waffle maker and have been testing out many fun new waffle recipes.

While I grew up eating toaster waffles and syrup and have always enjoyed sweeter waffles, I've recently hopped on the savory waffle bandwagon. Waffle makers imprint those classic deep pockets in the waffle, which are actually perfect nooks for any toppings you love. They hold berries, fruit, syrup, eggs, bacon bits, butter jams, and sauces. These 10 waffle recipes are the perfect addition to Easter brunch that the whole family will love.

Banana Bread Waffles

I love this banana bread waffle recipe, which features mashed bananas (perfect for those slightly overripe ones), vanilla extract, and some baking staples. Top these waffles with extra slices of banana to up your fruit intake and start your day off right.

Ham and Cheese Hash Brown Waffles

These simple and savory ham and cheese hash brown waffles are a delicious way to elevate frozen or refrigerated shredded potatoes. The cheese and ham are cooked directly into the waffles so they achieve a crispy perfection. Add a fried egg on top, and you have just the recipe to rise and shine.

Cinnamon Roll Waffles

Turn canned cinnamon rolls into a breakfast triumph with this easy cinnamon roll waffles recipe. It also includes a homemade cream cheese frosting, so you can drizzle a little extra sweetness on top.

Cornbread Waffles

Perfect for sweet or savory applications, these cornbread waffles are a fantastic base to load up your favorite toppings. I actually made these into a savory eggs Benedict and topped them with an egg and homemade hollandaise sauce for a next-level brunch that only took about 15 minutes to make!

Zucchini Parmesan Waffles

Enjoy your veggies for breakfast with this zucchini Parmesan waffle recipe that is ready in minutes. Shredded zucchini is combined with flour, eggs, milk, and spices for a quick and lighter option for a weekend meal.

Pumpkin Spice Waffles

Perfect for those cans of pumpkin in your pantry. These delicious pumpkin spice waffles have an entire can of pumpkin in the recipe, which makes them delicious any time of year.

Tofu Waffles

Okay, let me say that I have made the viral TikTok tofu waffles about 10 times now, and they are surprisingly good. Tofu waffles are a great plant-based, gluten-free, high-protein, and keto-friendly alternative to regular waffles. I actually turned the tofu waffles into a pizza crust and topped them with pizza toppings for a quick and simple lunch that was beyond delicious.

Sourdough Waffles

Who else out there has a sourdough starter going at the moment [raises hand enthusiastically]? This is the perfect waffle recipe to make with your sourdough discard for a simple, no-waste weekend brunch.

Brownie Waffles

These decadent brownie waffles tread the fine line between breakfast and dessert. Hey, you deserve both. If you're looking for an acceptable way to enjoy brownies for breakfast or a fun way to use your waffle iron for dessert, this is the recipe for you.

Waffle Breakfast Sandwiches

And rounding out the list are these amazing sweet/savory combo breakfast sandwiches with waffles as the bun. I love that these little sandwiches have both savory elements with the egg and sausage, and sweet components with the waffle and syrup. With this waffle sandwich, you don't need to choose between sweet or savory; you can truly have it all.
